The size of quotas exceeds 1.3 million tons, the action will continue until the middle of next year. The main goal of the new duty on hot rolled products is to protect the domestic market from imported products. On the first day of winter, rolled products in the EAEU up to 1.3 million tons will be delivered without duty, and for large volumes the duty will be twenty percent. In addition, the law does not apply to less developed countries that supply products in accordance with the EAEU preference. Companies from Russia are not happy with such changes, since, in their opinion, quotas are overestimated, and galvanized, cold rolled metal remains without proper support.
