According to reports from RusAl, in the first six months, the market situation with aluminum was on the verge of failure - an increased number of offers, high volatility, and prices fell by almost seventeen percent on an annualized basis. It is noted that due to trade conflicts in the market there is uncertainty in pricing policy. But in the second half of the year, demand is expected to increase by about two percent, which in recalculation will amount to over 67 million tons. This will lead to a deficit in the range of 0.6 - 0.9 million tons. A recovery in the market is expected in the next few months.
